The Institute for Women's and Gender Studies library contains nearly 3,000 books, journals, and magazines on women's studies topics such as gender, race, class, and sexuality. All of our books have been generously donated by our many friends and supporters. Thank you friends! Our library is not part of the UGA Libraries system, but is available to all UGA students and faculty. Books may be checked out for up to two weeks and our magazines can be viewed on-site only (magazines cannot be taken out of our office). Students who have not returned books to the Institute for Women's and Gender Studies by the due date may be referred to the Office of Student Conduct for a possible violation of the University's Code of Conduct. Books in our library are organized using the Library of Congress classification system and are shelved in our beautiful Gilbert Hall office reception area.
