Dr. Lioba Moshi will give a presentation on her latest book, Safari Njema: My Journey from Kilimanjaro to America.

Dr. Lioba Moshi, Professor Emerita of Linguistics and Comparative Literature at the University of Georgia, has been a teacher, scholar, translator, and leader in various scholarly programs. She received her Ph.D. at UCLA, and taught at Stanford University before settling at the University of Georgia where she spent most of her teaching career in America. 

Dr. Moshi is a linguist and language pedagogist by training. She has written several books and articles on language pedagogy, linguistic analysis, politics, and has developed language materials that are used nationally and internationally. This is her first non-academic book, a detailed account of her life journey across three continents.
