Graduate Student, Communication Studies

Allegro is a third year graduate student in Communication Studies on the rhetoric track. They debated at the University of Minnesota, where they majored in Gender, Women's and Sexuality Studies and Geography, with a concentration in Geographic Information Sciences. Allegro's current research interests are in theorizing drone strikes as rhetorical events, with a focus on the racialized dimensions of the strike and what this communicates. Allegro has published work in GLQ and is currently working on a project on how player agency appears in video games with non-linear storytelling, focusing on Elden Ring.
