LGBTQ Certificate now offered by the Institute for Women's Studies! We are pleased to announce that the Institute for Women’s Studies is now offering an undergraduate certificate in LGBTQ Studies! The Certificate was overwhelming approved by the University Council on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 and students can begin taking courses towards the completion of this certificate in Fall 2021. Women's Studies at UGA featured in current issue of Diverse Issues in Higher Education The director of the Institute for Women's Studies at UGA, Dr. Juanita Johnson-Bailey, and program coordinator, Terri L. Hatfield, were interviewed for an article in Diverse Issues in Higher Education. The articles centers on Women's History Month special events as a way to emphasize the importance of Women's Studies programs and scholarship. Former UGA administrator, legislator, and advocate for Women's Studies, Louise McBee dies at age 96 We are sad to hear of the passing of Dr. Louise McBee. She was one of the founders of Women’s Studies at the University of Georgia and an ardent supporter.
