Our brilliant Professor Emerita, Patricia Bell-Scott, will be one of the biographers featured in this week's episode of the CNN Original Series, “First Ladies” which presents the story of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt.  The episode will air this Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 10 pm.

Dr. Chris Cuomo Receives Inaugural Davion Award

Professor of Women’s Studies and Philosophy, Dr. Chris Cuomo, is the recipient of the inaugural Victoria Davion Award for Intersectionality in Environmental Ethics. This award will be presented at the 17th Annual Conference of the International Society for Environmental Ethics.  

The award is in honor of Women’s Studies affiliate, Dr. Victoria Davion, the first woman appointed head of UGA’s Department of Philosophy, a position she held from 2005 until her untimely death in 2017.
