National Coalition Against Domestic Violence
This coalition includes shelter and service programs for battered women and serves as a national information and referral center for the general public, media, battered women and their children, allied and member agencies and organizations. The web site describes programs and avenues for grassroots organizations to get technical assistance.
Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network
This non-profit organization, based in Washington, D.C., operates a sexual assault hotline (800-656-HOPE) which functions as a partnership of more than 860 rape crisis centers across the country. The web site offers practical advice for victims of assault or friends of victims, provides access to counseling centers around the nation, and describes RAINN's efforts.
