Today we are spotlighting part of our curriculum, WMST 2010: Introduction to Women’s Studies, which is taught by our Graduate Teaching Assistants and offered every semester.

Dr. Rumya S. Putcha's first book, The Dancer’s Voice: Performance and Womanhood in Transnational India, will be released in December 2022 by Duke University Press.

The Institute for Women's Studies is hiring a full-time Administrative Assistant. We'll begin reviewing applications in the next couple weeks, so please share with anyone you think might be interested.

Dr. Patricia Richards has been appointed the next Director of the Institute for Women's Studies, effective August 1, 2022. Per Dean Dorsey's memo: 

Congratulations to Women's Studies major, Jaaie Varshney, for being selected by the University of Georgia Morehead Honors College as a 2022 recipient of the Outstanding Honors Student in the Social Sciences award.
