Athens, Ga. – In recognition of the 2015 national Women’s History Month theme “Weaving the Stories of Women’s Lives,” the Institute for Women’s Studies at the University of Georgia will be sponsoring numerous events this March.

 

Chris Cuomo, Professor of Philosophy and Women's Studies, helped organize a bus from Georgia to NYC for the Climate Change March that took place on September 21, and was featured in the New York Times.

An online interdisciplinary research symposium, sponsored by the publisher Wiley, features a special journal issue of Hypatia, co-edited by Chris Cuomo, professor of Philosophy and Women's Studies, on philosophical, moral and political dimensions of climate change.

The Duchess's Shells: Natural History Collecting in the Age of Cook's Voyages is the new book from Yale University Press by Beth Tobin, professor in Women's Studies and English.
