GLOBES is the Gay, Lesbian, or Bisexual Employees and Supporters of the University of Georgia and welcomes gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, and straight undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff, as well as our many supporters.
Established in 1992 as the Athens Gay and Lesbian Association to meet the needs of the GLBT community. We are now an officially recognized student organization at UGA. Lambda Alliance's mission is to strengthen the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered community at the University of Georgia.
Safe Space Program
Campus-wide initiative that offers a visible message of inclusion, acceptance, and support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in the UGA community. The program offers a three-hour orientation to raise awareness and knowledge of LGBT issues and to suggest ways to serve as an ally to LGBT individuals.

In the Life Atlanta
ITLA was formed in 1996 to serve the needs of Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transsexual people of African descent within the Metro Atlanta community.
Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG)
A national non-profit organization with over 200,000 members and supporters and over 500 affiliates in the United States. This vast grassroots network is cultivated, resourced and serviced by the PFLAG national office, located in Washington, D.C., the national Board of Directors and 14 Regional Directors.
