Andrea Carson Coley Lecture
The Andrea Carson Coley Lecture was endowed by a donation by Andrew and Kathy Coley in memory of their daughter Andrea Carson Coley (1972-1993), who was a certificate candidate in Women's Studies. Each spring, our Andrea Carson Coley Lecture brings to campus scholars doing cutting-edge research in the area of lesbian and gay studies.

Friday Speaker Series
The Women's Studies Friday Speaker Series is in its 24th year of presentations by faculty, students, and community members. All talks are from 12:20pm to 1:10pm in the Miller Learning Center, room 250. All talks are free, open to the public and blue card events.

Student Symposium
Each year, the Institute for Women's Studies sponsors a one-day University-wide student symposium to showcase the diversity and vitality of feminist scholarship at UGA. The symposium also encourages students and faculty to engage in lively debate, while also giving students the opportunity to present their scholarly work in public to a sympathetic and interested audience.

UGA Women's History Month
Each March, Women's Studies coordinates and co-sponsors lectures, films, discussion panels, art exhibits, and more for Women’s History Month as well as publishes a poster highlighting those events.
