Core Faculty: Kelly Happe
Kelly Happe received her PhD in rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh with a secondary emphasis in media and cultural studies. As an assistant professor of communication studies and women's studies at the University of Georgia, she teaches courses in feminist rhetorical theory, feminist science studies, and environmental communication. Her book, The Material Gene: Gender, Race, and Heredity After the Human Genome Project is forthcoming from NYU Press. Her current research interests include feminist theories of biocapital and biopower, race and performative theory, and new environmental health movements.
