Alaska Native Knowledge Network

ANKN serves to compile and exchange "information related to Alaska Native knowledge systems." The online network contains culturally-based education curriculum and online publications on indigenous knowledge regarding methodology.

ANKN also has an entire page dedicated to Indigenous organizations and their links.

Alaska Native Science Commission

"The Alaska Native Science Commission (ANSC) was established in 1994 to bring together research and science in partnership with the Native community.  It serves as a clearinghouse for proposed research, an information base for ongoing and past research and an archive for significant research involving the Native community.  ANSC provides information, referral and networking services for researchers seeking active partners in the Native community and communities seeking research partners." Topics include subsistence, snow change, and climate change. The site features information not found on other organization's website such as information on ethics and protocols and research projects built on indigenous knowledge.

BASC - Barrow Arctic Science Consortium

"BASC is a community-based organization dedicated to helping make closer contacts between scientists and community members. A cooperative agreement between BASC and the National Science Foundation's Office of Polar Programs provides funding for BASC's activities."

Aboriginal Canada Portal

"The Aboriginal Canada Portal (ACP) is your single window to First Nations, Inuit and Métis on-line resources, contacts, information, and government programs and services in Canada. The Aboriginal Canada Portal is a partnership between Government departments and the Aboriginal community that allows better quality service and information delivery and to the degree possible, ensures that the site continues to evolve with a user-friendly and useful manner." An entire page is dedicated to environment and natural resources.

Indigenous Peoples' Restoration Network

IPRN brings together published research, education and outreach resources, and links to related organizations on the topic of indigenous knowledge and ecological restoration. There are excellent features on IK and Science: Restoration, Climate Change, and Western Science.

Indigenous Education Institute

The Institute's mission is "to preserve, protect and apply traditional Indigenous knowledge in a contemporary setting, that of Indigenous peoples today, around the world." The organization works to protect indigenous knowledge systems and apply them to science disciplines. Aside from being a networking portal and containing host of resources, the site lists external resource links on the topic of science and IK.

Worldwide Indigenous Science Network

WISK fosters the revitalization, exploration, growth and exchange of traditional knowledge and wisdom of indigenous peoples, in the belief that the earth-based wisdom of people who have for centuries lived in harmony with their environment has much to offer the modern world.

Knowledge, Imagery, Vision, Understanding (KIVU)

"KIVU Nature Inc. was established in 1997 to help bring a greater understanding and appreciation of the natural and cultural worlds. We offer executive level consulting to leaders in sustainable project development, especially where important heritage natural and cultural resources are involved. We also offer executive level consulting to presidents, directors, and upper level management of museums. One of our major specialties is helping to bridge the gap between western culture and indigenous peoples when including traditional knowledge in decision-making. We offer a wide range of media services including script writing, content, and imagery for media productions. Finally, and primarily as a service to not-for-profit organizations, we will help to develop Internet presence by offering inexpensive website designs and construction."
