Intellectual Property and Traditional Knowledge
The online AAAS Handbook on Intellectual Property and Traditional Knowledge explores "issues and options for traditional knowledge holders in protecting their intellectual property and maintaining biological diversity." The goal of this publication is to "help local communities understand regimes and the public domain for traditional knowledge." Additionally, the handbook introduces basic intellectual property concepts and provides exercises to help one identify and classify types of knowledge and the values of indigenous knowledge. |
